THE BALBOA PARK COLONY:
The largest within San Diego, and the most widespread. These cats have a hierarchy in which the majority of the colony members must vote the leaders they want to have into the Council, a group of cats usually composed of felines the Colony considers to be just and wise. They must be past the adult stage, usually in their middle-ages. They have their own 'guard,' and cats whom they call 'medical practitioners,' though these cats only really have knowledge in herbs and simple medicines, most of which they steal from Humans. New cats join regularly, but they must be evaluated first to check if they are wanted for any crimes by anyone within the city.
THE LEMON GROVE COLONY:
This colony is smaller than the Balboa Park Colony, and not as official, as it were, but it is a fairly big colony nonetheless. Mainly stationed in Berry Street Park, these cats within have no leadership, but thrive more than they would on their own under a mutual agreement: you take care of us, we take care of you. The task of raising kittens is shared by all queens, and all mollies and toms must participate in protecting and feeding the colony. They have no healers, and no sort of training system. Conflicts are resolved via debates in the meeting gazebos under the cover of night.
