Relatively new and very strict towards their own rules, they're not extremely (openly) sexist, but it is their belief that toms should do the hunting and fighting (basically 'action') and that mollies should stay at the dens tending to the kittens, fixing problems at home and matters of the heart. Males are taught to be brutes, soldiers, and females are given freer reign (they can display emotions much more, question orders much more).
The mollies are the actual brains of the outfit here. They control everything, the Queen often manipulating the King to do what she feels must be done, because usually all the males want to do is spill blood.
It is forbidden to hurt fellow members of the clowder, however, so fortunately the 'wives' are never beaten or abused, nor are the kits. Discovering a tom—or even a molly!—doing so is punishable by exile, maiming or death (whichever the majority feels like at the moment).
